1. Controller & General Principles

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you use the Garage Prime mobile application and website. We are committed to data minimization: your collection data belongs to you, and we do not sell or monetize personal user profiles.

2. Data Collection & App Features

A. Account & Authentication (Supabase)

When registering an account, your email address, display username, and encrypted credentials are stored in our secure database managed via Supabase (hosted in ISO-certified European data centers). Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures that private garage records are strictly isolated to your user ID.

B. On-Device OCR Scanner & AI Identification

When scanning blister packs, Toy-Code text recognition (OCR) is performed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit. No raw camera feed is permanently streamed to external servers for basic OCR. For optional AI-assisted model recognition and telemetry enrichment, image data is transmitted securely via HTTPS to AI services (Google Gemini API) solely to identify the casting and fetch automotive specs.

C. Global Hunt Radar & Location (OpenStreetMap)

The Hunt Radar map allows collectors to log and view where specific models were found in stores. Location permission is optional and only used when active to center the map. Store coordinates logged to the community radar are generalized to protect user privacy. Maps are rendered via OpenStreetMap tiles.

D. Peer-to-Peer Collector Marketplace & Chats

When listing cars for trade or sending barter proposals to other verified collectors, trade messages and public showcase items are stored in the database to enable peer communication. The marketplace is non-commercial and handles no monetary payments or financial account data.

E. Push Notifications (OneSignal)

If enabled, OneSignal is used to deliver important app news, quest rewards, or trade notifications. You can toggle push notifications off anytime in your device settings.

F. Voluntary Support & Tips (Ko-fi)

If you choose to support the project via Ko-fi (Ko-fi Labs Ltd.), payments are processed externally on their secure checkout pages. Garage Prime does not process, store, or receive your credit card numbers, PayPal, or bank account credentials.

3. Device Permissions

Camera / Kamera Required for the on-device blister scanner and taking photos of your models.
Photo Library / Storage Used to pick custom vehicle pictures and save exported PDF catalogs locally.
Location / Standort (Optional) Only used when opening the Hunt Radar map to find nearby model hotspots.
Notifications / Push (Optional) To alert you about trade proposals, daily quests, and v2 update releases.

4. Your Rights & Account Deletion

Under the GDPR and Swiss Federal Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, export, or erase all your personal data at any time.

Complete Account & Data Deletion You can delete your entire account and all associated garage records directly inside the app under Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account or by emailing dev@garage-prime.com. All your cars, photos, and records will be permanently purged immediately.
